The region Obervellach – Reisseck features on maps not just since yesterday. The old Romans already searched for gold in this breathtaking region, as can be seen from numerous great sites bearing witness to coal and gold mining. The region’s history is thus exciting, interesting and turbulent, of which the iconic site at Danielsberg can also tell a thing or two. In the art space Obervellach, a space for modern and contemporary art was created, because the present is also not without appeal.
